First, Laos Fertility recommends that you research and study the country you are interested in traveling to. Understanding the culture is very important and will provide you with a better feel for the people in that country. Learning what type of food is common in the country, what language they speak, what currency they use, and learning a few words or phrases of the language is always fun and you will earn the respect from people of the culture you are travelling to.

Second, we suggest that you understand the infrastructure of the country you are going to. Are taxis easy to find? Is there a skytrain? Is there a subway? How is the bus system? These are all important questions you will want to find out. We also suggest that you get a business card of the hotel you are staying at. Most major hotels will have their business cards in English on one side and in their language on the other side. This is great if your taxi driver does not speak English or if you should get lost. You should keep one in your wallet at all times. Furthermore, make sure that you always carry a mask with you. Many hotels and shops will not allow you to enter without one. Additionally, carrying hand sanitizer with you to keep your hands clean and sanitize is a good idea.

Third, Laos Fertility recommends that you study up on the tourist attractions you will be visiting. For instance, one cannot wear short pants when visiting the Grand Palace in Bangkok. How disappointing it would be if you traveled all the way to Thailand and get to the Grand Palace only to find out you cannot enter because you are wearing short pants. So it is really important to know the rules.

We also recommend that you know some common laws of the country you are visiting. For instance, in Singapore one will be heavily fined for spitting chewing gum onto the street or on any public place. Laws vary from country to country as they do from state to state, so knowing some common laws of the country you plan to visit is important. You certainly would not want to get into trouble in a foreign country, especially one where you cannot speak the language.

Finally, when it is time to shop one should always try to bargain for less. Most countries do like to bargain and prices are never fixed as they are here in the U.S. One can expect that the prices are generally inflated by 50%, so do not be afraid to bargain!
